The American Society of Power Engineers recognizes other licensing entities and considers conversions to an appropriate equivalent license on a case by case basis. If you currently live in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida or the District of Columbia, your license will fall under the jurisdiction of ASOPE Region 4 (the East Coast Board of Examining Engineers). In order to submit your current license for consideration the following information is required:
1.
Provide an ASOPE application that is filled out with all data and signed for each ASOPE license desired by the applicant. See below for application download.
2.
Provide a copy or copies of all current valid license(s) that are being submitted for determination. An applicant may request conversion for more than one license at a time.
3.
Provide the qualifications of current non-ASOPE license in writing, photo copy OR a web link that can be accessed by the members of the ASOPE License Conversion Committee for their use in the determination.

Upon approval of conversion license the conversion fee of $25.00 will be due prior to the issuance of the converted license.
